Replanning the night

If you are not starting on schedule or fall behind due to camera time outs or weather conditions, a replan of the night may be necessary. If in doubt if you should replan a night or not, go ahead and do the replan.

To do a replan:

  1. The scheduler should be halted and not be taking data, if so there is no reason to replan the night.
  2. In the scheduler window on the N2MASS / S2MASS computer press r and confirm the replan.
  3. After a few seconds the scheduler will update with a new plan for the night. From this new plan, Start as you normally would for the beginning of an observing session.

Whenever restarting a new plan, it MUST always start with a set of 6 calibrators. The only exception is if a set of calibrators were just finished in the schedule before the replan. The scheduler program should be aware of this and re-plan accordingly.
