During
the course of the initial processing of the 2MASS data using
version 2 of the pipeline software preliminary releases of processed
data were made available to the public. Copies of the media of these releases are archived at the University of
Massachusetts. These releases have been superseded by the 2MASS
All Sky Catalogs which were prepared through the use of version 3 of
the pipeline software.
The 1999 Spring Incremental Data Release media were written with a disk geometry that may not be compatible with recent DVD readers. For this reason hard disk iso images of all release media have been archived at the University of Massachusetts.
